When it comes to The Windsor at our Ellerwood development
in Skipton, it really is so much more than just your average five bedroom home and in this blog post, we’re going to tell you why…
At Space Homes, we know there are lots of reasons why you might want to buy a five bedroom home. It could be to accommodate a growing family, it could be because you love to entertain and regularly host guests or it might be because you simply need the space for work, hobbies or pets… whatever the reason, a five bedroom home needs to work hard to make it worth the extra investment, and that’s exactly what we’ve had in mind, when we created The Windsor at Ellerwood.
is our latest development in Skipton, and we know with a fantastic location like this (which you can learn more about right here), we needed to design the houses to match. Skpton is known and loved for its historic architecture, which gives the town its picturesque look, so with our new homes at Ellerwood, we were careful to choose build materials that would work with the existing architecture. Our homes here, including our five bedroom Windsor house type, are built using beautiful weathered stone, with York stone accents to really make the most of the detailing in the home’s design.
The roof tiles are dark grey concrete, while the windows are white UPVC, which strikes the right balance between using modern building materials that deliver all the energy efficiency and longevity you’d expect from a new home, while still blending in and complementing the local architecture already in place in Skipton. The attention to detail doesn’t just stop on the outside of our stone homes though, it continues right through to the interiors as well.

Downstairs, the front door of The Windsor opens into a spacious hallway with a utility room and downstairs cloakroom to the left and an impressive, twenty foot long, open plan kitchen dining space to the right. In here you’ll find beautiful quartz countertops that are included as standard, as well as fully integrated bosch appliances, including a double oven. Its the perfect space for entertaining family and friends in a relaxed yet luxurious environment. From the open plan kitchen and dining area you move into a light filled garden room with the first of two sets of bi-fold doors, which open out into the private garden. The second set of bi-fold doors open out from the separate living room, which is itself an indulgent 11ft by 17ft, allowing you plenty of space to unwind and relax during the evening and weekends.
Upstairs to the first floor you’ll find three of the total five bedrooms in this home. Two of the bedrooms on this floor are double bedrooms with modern en-suite bathrooms, while the third bedroom is a spacious single or a possible study space depending on the way you want to live in this amazing home.
There’s also a shared bathroom on this floor, as well as two large storage cupboards. On the third floor you’ll find the final two double bedrooms and a shower room. By splitting the bedrooms across two floors you have the flexibility to spread out and move around as you need to, so this house can grow with you over the years. The third floor especially is the ideal hideaway for older or adult children, allowing them peace, quiet and privacy. Alternatively, if you love to entertain or regularly have people to stay over, then it also makes the perfect guest suite, which is simultaneously part of your home, but secluded from the busier parts of your day to day living spaces.
However you like to live and whatever the future brings, we think the Windsor at Ellerwood is the perfect forever home if you’re looking to settle down in Skipton. Why not find out more about this special house
