When it comes to The Windsor at our Ellerwood development in Skipton, it really is so much more than just your average five bedroom home and in this blog post, we’re going to tell you why…

At Space Homes, we know there are lots of reasons why you might want to buy a five bedroom home. It could be to accommodate a growing family, it could be because you love to entertain and regularly host guests or it might be because you simply need the space for work, hobbies or pets… whatever the reason, a five bedroom home needs to work hard to make it worth the extra investment, and that’s exactly what we’ve had in mind, when we created The Windsor at Ellerwood.

Ellerwood is our latest development in Skipton, and we know with a fantastic location like this (which you can learn more about right here), we needed to design the houses to match. Skpton is known and loved for its historic architecture, which gives the town its picturesque look, so with our new homes at Ellerwood, we were careful to choose build materials that would work with the existing architecture. Our homes here, including our five bedroom Windsor house type, are built using beautiful weathered stone, with York stone accents to really make the most of the detailing in the home’s design.

The roof tiles are dark grey concrete, while the windows are white UPVC, which strikes the right balance between using modern building materials that deliver all the energy efficiency and longevity you’d expect from a new home, while still blending in and complementing the local architecture already in place in Skipton.
