A day in Otley

With our brand new development St Davids well underway, we took a trip to Otley market town to see what it has to offer. Whether you’re into your quirky cafes, a shopping fanatic or an active walker, Otley has something for you.

Filled to the brim with independent shops and cafes, this place was one of the most characteristic towns we’ve ever visited!

When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was how countrified it was. The cobbled streets as famously seen in Britain’s favorite soap Emmerdale, give the place such a homely feel.

First stop was coffee. Salami & Co, located in the heart of the town, is where we stopped for our caffeine kick. Rest assured, your dog can pop in for a coffee too. Yes, you read it right. Salami & Co offer a ‘puppichino’ and a whole menu dedicated to your hound!

We loved the contemporary interior in this place. With friendly owners, it’s the perfect place for the family!

On our way to the River Wharfe, we stopped off at Casa Vitae. Offering specialty coffee and delicious food, Casa Vitae’s main attraction is their flowers. With a designer florist in house, they can whip you up the perfect bunch in under half an hour!

If you’re into your shopping, Otley market town is the place for you. Whether you’re shopping for clothes, books, or even homeware, you’ll find what you’re looking for.

We finally reached the infamous Wharfemeadows Park. With the River Wharfe running through Otley, it makes for a really memorable walk. If you’re lucky you might even catch Otley Sailing Team.

Running over the River Wharfe is the increasingly popular lovelock bridge. Romantic couples can inscribe their initials on the locks and hang their padlock on the bridge.

A trip to Otley wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Weegmann’s Family Butchers. They sell the finest sausage rolls in Yorkshire!

Our new development St Davids is located just a 5 minute drive from the town. St Davids will offer a collection of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes. More information is set to be released this Autumn. To be the first to find out new information about the site, register your interest.
