Dale & Amy

Dale and Aimee began their search for their first home together in Spring 2018.

Dale and Aimee took advantage of the Help-to-Buy scheme.

With Aimee working as a project manager in Sheffield and Dale, an engineer from Stockport it was important that the couple’s first home was in commutable distance to both locations. When discussing the possibility of buying their home, the couple were introduced to Help to Buy, a government backed scheme that helps people buy their home with just a 5% deposit.

HELP TO BUY

The process was so easy. All it takes is an application form and the rest is done for you! We had no problems at all, and it meant we could bag our dream home.

Having previously lived in an older style house, buying a new build home had not been an option they had considered. After visiting several older houses and having no luck, Aimee came across Lairds Way.

“We came to visit one weekend in late March and we both knew this was where we wanted to live. As soon as we drove through the development, the look of the houses drew us in. The development looks stunning, and because it’s so small, it felt like home straight away.”

Dale and Aimee quickly fell in love with The Sheaf, a spacious 3 bedroom semi-detached home. “We wanted 3 bedrooms and a nice spacious ground floor for when our family and friends come round. The Sheaf has it all!”

“We can’t help but notice the high standard Space Homes offer.

We just love the house and the layout inside. Everyone comments on how beautiful the house is when they walk in; you can definitely tell Space Homes aim for a very high standard.”

“Every time I rung Space Homes, the person on the other end of the phone knew who we were. I didn’t feel like I was getting passed from one sales advisor to another, which I have done with bigger developers in the past”
